“Saint Paul Mountain Vineyards is a family-owned operation located in the heart of Henderson County’s apple country.  Nestled on 10 acres of a land grant from England are panoramic views of the Blue Ridge Mountains that the family has enjoyed for generations and would now like to share with you.  Because of the warm days and cool nights in our region, the 14 varieties of wine grapevines grown on two vineyards, at elevations of 2,300 and 3,000 feet, produce some of the best grapes for producing wine in the country.  Meticulously growing our fruit allows us to transport the unique character of our vineyard into each bottle of our wine.  St Paul Mtn Vineyards not only welcomes you to come to a place where you can enjoy beautiful views with an unforgettable glass of wine, but we also welcome you to bring your family to visit ours.”

“What a wonderful experience.  Extremely knowledgeable.  Great price for tasting and lots of options.  Would definitely return.”

“One of our favorite spots in Hendersonville, NC.  The inside was just renovated with stained beams that make the space look amazing.  Besides the stellar wine offering you can check out the cidery just around the corner.  We frequent this winery and love that food trucks are usually available on the weekend.  You will not be disappointed.”

“The legend lives on to this day on the majestic land that is now Burntshirt Vineyards, a family-run wine company with a dedication to craftsmanship spanning 80 years.

What started primarily as a grape growing operation evolved into the idea of a winery when owners Lemuel and Sandra Oates, recognizing the quality of their fruit and the opportunity to be a part of the thriving North Carolina wine industry, decided to embark on production of their own premium, estate wines.”

“Lovely location and great wines.  We thoroughly enjoyed the tasting and had a lovely walk around the grounds.”

“I love this wine and it’s my favorite winery in NC.  Not only is the location super cute, but the wine is great and affordable.  An inviting and relaxing atmosphere, with both indoor and outdoor seating.”

Point Lookout Vineyards

“Our vineyard is atop the southeast slope of Point Lookout Mountain with 30-mile panoramic views. The vines may not appreciate the scenery, but they are greeted with the morning sun and cooling mountain breezes that allow them to produce stunning wines that you will find just as wonderful as the views”

“Great place at the top of a lookout where you can see for miles!  More importantly, the wines are really good!  I’m not a big Riesling fan, but their Riesling Off Dry was so good, I bought a bottle.  Also, bought the Cabernet Sauvignon, Pavilion, and their traditional mead.  Yes, this place also creates really good meads.  $10 for 5 wine tastings, plus 1 mead or 5 meads plus 1 wine.  The hummus and cheese plate for $12 was enough four people.”

“During a girls trip we decided to venture out to vineyards.  This place is ideal for phot ops.  We pulled up and it is gorgeous.  Plenty of eating, great service, friendly, staff, and delicious wine.”

Little Switzerland Orchard and Winery

“We are a small family-owned orchard and cidery nestled in the North Carolina Mountains.  For many years we produced small amounts of specialty fruit wines, meads, and ciders to share with our friends and family.  The love, passion, and enjoyment of creating masterpieces in the form of wines, ciders, and meads soon drove us to open shop.  In 2018, we began the process of setting up a winery location in Woodfin, our orchard is in a dry county.”

“The best cider I have had, period!  These flavors are fermented into the cider, not injected after the fact.  All the alcohol contents are on the high side (8=11%) which gives it flavor it deserves.  Check this place out.  Tucked away in a business park on the side of a hill in the middle of Woodfin.  Very cool!”

“My husband and I decided to stop and try the local fermented fruit scene and let me tell you, those cider slushies are perfect on a warm summer evening!  There is outdoor seating with plenty of room between guests and you can play cornhole while sipping on some wonderful wine – we will visit again.”

We also source grapes, berries, and peaches from nearby growers.    We offer 18 wines that include French American reds, whites, and rosés, as well as muscadines, and fruit wines. Over 90% of the grapes and fruits are grown on site or on other upstate farms.”

“This winery in the woods is definitely a place to explore and bring your girlfriends!  They even have some craft nights that they are setting up.  The owners are delightful and really make you feel at home.  I loved all 10 wines I tasted.”

“Really good wines!  Excellent atmosphere!  Not your regular chardonnay; different but amazing grapes and blends.  Deep purple for red wine, woodsy white for whites.  A must if you are in the area.”

Addison Farms Vineyard

Leicester, NC  Google Map

“Addison Farms Vineyard is a family-owned vineyard and winery situated on 55 acres in Leicester, NC. Located approximately 17 miles northwest of Asheville, NC, the property has been in the family for four generations. Addison Farmer and his parents purchased the property in 1937. We began this adventure with the vineyard and winery to preserve the family farm for future generations.

In 2009, Addison Farms Vineyard planted the first acre of what is planned to be a 10-acre vineyard. The vineyard has expanded a little each year, currently at a little over six acres. The vineyard is at an elevation between 2250′ and 2300′. As of April 2020, we have six varieties in the vineyard: Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Sangiovese, Montepulciano, Petit Verdot, and Petit Manseng.”

“Visited today and had the best experience! Jessica was SO fun and knowledgeable about the wines! The wines were so tasty and different! The views are beautiful, and the drive was very easy from Asheville!

“Beautiful views, such a cute and relaxing winery to visit and Jeff was so nice and wonderful for our wine tasting! Had the best time and it was the perfect addition to my bachelorette party festivities.”

“We visited this vineyard on a pretty Saturday as something to do and found one of our new favorites.  Their Sangria is the best we ever tasted.  We even went back for seconds after visiting two other vineyards.  They produce dry reds and whites, and everything was delightful.  Their two great danes were beautiful and docile.  We will definitely be back.”

“Why wouldn’t you spend a lovely afternoon tasting the delicious wines grown, ages, and thoughtfully presented.  I brought my mini schnauzer who was equally happy to lounge under the big orange patio umbrella on the lawn overlooking the grapevine orchards while enjoying taste local cheeses, sausage, cold water, and well, of course outstanding wine.  Their 2016 Camelia is a delicious unique blend of Chardonnay and Petit Manseng – perfect for a special occasion.”

While our wines are our own effort, they do stand on the shoulders of this proud Western North Carolina history. We think you will enjoy them!”

“The wine and staff are amazing!  The whites are not as sweet as most, which makes them perfect. The sangria was top notch.”
