Anatomy for the Artist

Rich Nelson will teach Anatomy for the Artist over four Fridays starting Feb. 28. This is a figure drawing class aimed at improving the observation, understanding and drawing skills of any level student. Through lectures and drawing from the nude model, the class will focus on understanding the bones, muscles and surface anatomy. Students are asked to bring Andrew Loomis’ book, Figure Drawing for All It’s Worth. They should also bring a large newsprint pad, a large sketchbook, vine or willow charcoal and soft 6B charcoal pencils. The class is limited to 10, and the minimum age is 18.
