Treat Street Carnival Coming to Hendersonville

Hendersonville’s Downtown Program, Henderson County Parks and Recreation and Hola Community Arts have teamed up to bring the Treat Street Carnival to downtown Hendersonville beginning at 5 p.m. Oct. 31.

Main Street will be closed between Sixth Avenue and Allen Street to accommodate families enjoying festivities.

Costume contest registration begins at 4:30 p.m., and is open in several divisions: 3, 4 to 7, 8 to 11, 12 to 15. Sixteen-year-old and above, as well as family/groups in costume will begin at 6 p.m., with the pet category to be judged first.

Other entertainment includes kid-friendly inflatables, Sid the Surf’s DJ party, a Halloween-themed outdoor movie and performances in the spirit of Dia de Los Muertos (Day of the Dead).

Trick or treating will be along Main Street from Allen to Sixth Avenue, while the costume contest and Monster Mash will be in the 100 block in front of the courthouse, between First and Second avenues along Main Street.
