Valentine’s Day Events That Require A Reservation
Ah, Valentine’s Day. While the most cynical among us may eschew it as a made up holiday, Valentine’s Day offers the perfect chance for us to celebrate love in all of its forms. After the long duldrums of January, it gives us the perfect excuse to get out of the house and enjoy some time out on the town. Luckily, many area restaurants and businesses are offering special Valentine’s Day events to celebrate love. Here’s a rundown of a few events in town, so take a look and start making reservations.
Valentine’s Day at 305 Lounge and Eatery (February 14th 5 pm-7 pm)
If you’re looking for a casual Valentine’s Day date, this may be the event for you. 305 Lounge and Eatery is right next to Mike’s on Main and offers very similar fare, but with the addition of beer and wine. On Valentine’s Day, Geratric Jukebox will be there singing hits from the 60s and 70s. This will be a fantastic way to celebrate love, friendship, and community. Be prepared to sing along!
Valentine’s Day Partner Yoga at YAM (February 15th 12:45 pm-2:00 pm)
Yoga can be such a wonderful way to spend time with a partner or loved one. In this special Valentine’s Day offering from YAM, they will teach individual poses as well as partner poses. In the spirit of Valentine’s Day, the class will end with dark chocolate.
Valentine’s Wine and Chocolate Pairing at Point Look-Out Vineyard (February 13-15)
What goes together better than wine and chocolate? Point Look-Out Vineyards is hosting a special Valentine’s Day tasting of seven different wine and chocolate pairings. This experience looks to be both fun and educational as you and your partner will get to learn about the wine’s that you’re tasting.
Valentine’s Day Blending at Burntshirt Vineyard (February 16th from 2:00 pm-4:00 pm)
Have you ever wanted to make your own wine? Now, you and your loved one can try your hand at creating your own blend for Valentine’s Day. You can create your own blend of red wine using wine from the Burntshirt Vineyard. Besides wine, this event will also include artisanal cheeses, meats, and chocolate covered strawberries.
Valentine’s Day Dinner at Season’s at the Highland Lake Inn (February 14th 5:00 pm-8:00 pm)
Just a short drive from Main Street is the beautiful Highland Lake Inn with their renowned restaurant Season’s. For Valentine’s Day, they are offering a prix fixe menu handcrafted by their chef, Alphonso Piper. This prix fixe menu consists of three courses and a glass of champagne. Among other things, the menu for the evening boasts She-Crab Soup and Chocolate Mousse. This will be a Valentine’s Day date that you won’t soon forget.
