Holiday Bucket List: Hendersonville, NC
Thanksgiving is less than a week away, which will officially kick-off the holiday season. Before we know it, the clock will strike midnight on December 31st, and the holiday season (and 2020!) will be over. So, don’t be a Grinch! This year has been brutal, and we should all celebrate the season. Here is a holiday bucket list for Hendersonville to give you some ideas!
- Take a Thanksgiving morning hike at the Carl Sandburg home.
- Check out YAM’s new, Moon Studio and stretch and relax on the day after Thanksgiving.
- Visit Jeter Mountain Farm to pick out a Christmas tree and enjoy some hot cider.
- Take a walk down Main Street during Whoo Loves Hendo to see all the decorated storefronts and get ideas for Christmas lists.
- Drive-thru the winter lights display at the NC Arboretum.
- Help the kids complete the Peppermint Bear scavenger hunt on Main Street.
- Visit the Christmas Market at Guidon Brewery and sip on some warm, mulled wine while shopping for Christmas goodies.
- Buy some Christmas bread from Underground Baking Company.
- Visit Van’s Chocolates for some very special holiday sweets.
- Cuddle up in Christmas jammies and checkout the Flat Rock Playhouse’s Christmas Show from the comfort of your own home.
- Put on your ugliest Christmas sweater and take part in the Ugly Sweater Run at the Riveter.
- Take the kids to see Santa at Ace Hardware (due to COVID, children will not be sitting on Santa’s lap for pictures).
- Drive-thru the Christmas lights display at Shadrack’s Christmas Wonderland at the Tryon Equestrian Center.
- Enjoy a cup of hot chocolate from Appalachian Coffee Company while walking through Laurel Park.
- Check out the Golden Yoga class at the Riveter to move, stretch, and ease holiday stress.
- Pick up some special Christmas beer from Dry Falls Brewing.
- Visit the newly reopened Crate Wine Market to find a special bottle of wine to enjoy on Christmas Eve.
- Take a winter hike up the Big Rock trail in DuPont.
- Pick up last minute stocking stuffers from Dancing Bear Toys.
- Drive through the light display at Lake Julian.
