Inaugural 7th Avenue Historic District Tours Planned

It’s where the steam engines rolled into town and was the place to be in Hendersonville during the Gilded Age — 7th Avenue. The memories of candy stores, summer visitors and business how it used to be will be talked about during the inaugural 7th Avenue District Tour at 10 a.m. Nov. 9 beginning at Hendersonville City Hall, corner of 5th Avenue East and King Street, near the police department entrance.

The tours will also occur Nov. 16 and 23. The walks are 90 minutes long and cost $10 per person 10 and older. Children under 10 are free with a paying adult.
